My good friend Carlos Campbell, former Asst Sec of Commerce, under Pres, Reagan, called me yesterday to tell me about your piece on Prince. For some reason, I have never been impressed with people that were entertainers. I found Prince strange, and secretive which leads to believe he hid many of his proclivities from the public.
It is appropriate at this point to repeat a quote from Whitney Young, truly America's greatest Civil Rights leader, "Liberalism seems related to a person’s distance from the problem"
Since 1968, Blacks fascination with pop culture and the trend of the day are major reasons we can't make any progress given the tools i.e. enforcement of the laws, and business, educational, and social opportunity never afforded our forefathers. The bizarre fashions of the 70's and Black identity craze devastated the traditional pursuit of upward mobility through the pursuit of education, integration, and moral integrity to overcome the vestiges of centuries of American apartheid. Studies have shown that educated Black parents encouraged their children to rebel against being smart and speaking proper English in school because it was being Too White!
The Motown image and sound was supplanted by the glamorization of thugs, debauchery, criminality, and drugs. With the Black exploitation movies going mainstream to rap music, and its horrific language played over federal airwaves. Still we have Black academics that charge it is the White Man's fault. Well, no White man ever forced a Black man to stick a needle in his arm, or rape and kill others Blacks. It is about time we blamed the degenerate Blacks they consider their "brothers and Sisters" prey. You notice they tend not to prey on Whites, that comes with death from the police while Black pastors protest police shooting of Black criminals committing crimes against other Blacks. How dumb is that, but it is by design to keep the violent chaos and poverty going for the poverty pimp hustlers, in all forms in the Black community, whether politician, pastor, pedestrian, it is an insane rational.
I disagree with the premise of "The New Jim Crow", many of these predators need to be executed they are no good to society. With a recidivism rate of over 90%, why should we waste $40k a year imprisoning them? That money would be better spent educating Black Children and eradicating Black criminals forever from the community.
